Honda CB 550 four was produced in the period 1974 -1976 and was a development of the successfull CB 500.
The changes easy to catch was the tank decals, the winkers and the size of the gauges. Sitting on the bike, you would also realise that the seat was not as soft as the CB 500. Technically the bike had only minor changes. The clutch wire at the engine side was moved from the left to the right side, as the connection rod innside the sprocket cover was exposed to damage if the drive chain broke. The gear box was also improved. The bore was increased from 498 ccm to 544 ccm. Still the same joyfull bike to ride.
The colours were:
1974: Sunrise Flake Orange, Freedom Green Metalic and Boss Maroon Metalic
1975: Sunrise Flake Orange and Candy Jade Green
1976: Candy Garnet Brown
